After getting picked up at the Chan May port, drive straight to Hue city then on to the other side of the Perfume River. There, admire the magnificent Noon Gate of the Royal Citadel, where Nguyen Kings used to declare the results of national examinations and the New Year calendar. Walk into the Imperial Citadel and the recently reconstructed Palace of Supreme Harmony. Then, visit Thien Mu Pagoda, one of the oldest Buddhist pagodas in the area.
