Directions to Giac Lam Pagoda
A fantastic pagoda, The Giac Lam Pagoda translates as 'Feel the Woods Temple.' Due to its garden setting you will find an atmospheric place that gives you a relaxed feeling. The temple dates back to 1744 and is believed to be the oldest in the entire city.
When you enter the pagoda you will see a large statue under a Bodhi tree in the nice surrounding garden. This tree was a gift from the famous Sri Lankan monk, Sinhalese Theravada.
This Buddhist Pagoda is inspired with aspects of Taoism and Confucianism. It is also believed that when the Bronze Bell rings the prayers of the sick and elderly are answered.
