The art of water puppetry has a distinct Vietnamese identity. It came into existence more than a thousand years ago in the Red River Delta.
In its earliest days, water puppetry portrayed the daily life of villagers – in farming and fishing activities, children’s play and in romance. Today the performance also brings in ancient legends and myths.

Important Information
- This service is for customers who want to reserve tickets in advance for their preferred showtime
- No flash photography is permitted at the performance
- The ticket availability sometimes changes to the next show as fully booked. In this case, you will be contacted in advance for the best arrangement. If you do not agree we would process the full refund before 24 hours
- Ticket exchange for the physical tickets at Charming Vietnam Travel office is compulsory as if you queue at the ticket counter in the high season it would take a lot of time
- An audio guide is available to purchase for 50.000 VND per show. The audio guide must be booked directly with the staff at the theatre entrance
- Children aged 0–2 can attend for free but must share a seat with a parent. No seat will be assigned. Please book a separate seat if needed
