Located by the poetic Hoan Kiem Lake, Hanoi's Old Quarter is a must-experience for everyone. 

This is one of the most iconic areas of Hanoi for locals and foreigners alike. At the very beginning of 20th century, each street offered a particular trade or good such as silver, bamboo or sugar. Nowadays, even though only a few of them still offer the same products, the street names still reflect the original business.

This charming little zone promises great fun and surprises for any who takes the time to walk around and explore its small alleyways. 

There are tons of things to do in this area such as sampling street food, watching vendors with colonial hats hawking goods and checking out various delightful shops. This is heaven for street food. There are also tons of good massage places and high-end restaurants in this area. And don't miss the chance to shop for some beautiful handicraft products or a nice silk shirt while you are here.
