KOTO has been very popular among locals and expats in Vietnam. The name stands for 'Know One, Teach One.' Jimmy Pham, the Vietnamese-Australian founder, got the name for the restaurant because he believes that knowledge exists to be shared.
KOTO is a more than 10-year-old training center of hospitality for disadvantaged youth. Jimmy's vision is to enable them to learn and strive for a better life in Hanoi.
The center raises funds to support its cause through charitable activities and initiatives, as well as operates an enterprise that supports the welfare and training for the students. KOTO Enterprises includes two restaurants, an online bakery, a cooking school and a catering service.
