Visit Bai Dinh Pagoda, one of the largest spiritual complexes in Southeast Asia, and admire its impressive Buddha statues. Climb the 500 steps of Mua Cave for a stunning panoramic view of Ninh Binh. Enjoy a peaceful 2-hour boat ride through the UNESCO-listed Trang An river, passing caves, nature, and local wildlife. Finish your day with a friendly cooking class hosted by Lana, a Ninh Binh local with over 15 years of experience. 8:00/9:00 AM: Pick-up from your hotel in the Ninh Binh area. Start your journey at Bai Dinh Pagoda, famous for its giant Buddha statues and beautiful spiritual architecture. Continue to Trang An for a 2-hour sampan boat ride rowed by a local. Explore the filming site of Kong: Skull Island and pass through the cave system including Sang, Toi, and Nau Ruou Caves—where rice wine was once prepared. Head to Mua Cave and challenge yourself with the 500-step climb to the top. From the peak, enjoy one of the best views of Ninh Binh’s mountains, rivers, and rice fields. Return to the restaurant for your cooking class at around 6:00–6:30 PM. Join a hands-on class with at least four traditional Vietnamese dishes such as crispy fried spring rolls, pork skewers, and green papaya salad. Vegetarian and vegan options are available.
