Lung Ngoc Hoang Nature Reserve – Explore the Untouched Wetlands of Can Tho Pick-up from your hotel: At 8:00 AM (or 1:30 PM), our friendly guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel or accommodation in Can Tho. After a comfortable one-hour drive through the countryside, we arrive at Lung Ngoc Hoang Nature Reserve – a peaceful and lesser-known destination perfect for those who want to discover a different side of the Mekong Delta. Experience the wetland by boat: Hop on a local boat and cruise through a maze of green canals and dense Melaleuca forest. This untouched landscape offers a rare opportunity to connect with nature, breathe in fresh forest air, and listen to the sounds of birds and the gentle rustling of leaves. It’s a magical experience that feels like stepping into a hidden world. Observation Tower & Light Trekking: We’ll stop at a 25-meter high observation tower where you’ll be treated to a panoramic view of the forest, seasonal rice fields, and the vast wetlands stretching far into the horizon. Afterward, enjoy a light trek of about 1.3 km through flat, shaded forest paths — or take the boat again if you prefer a more relaxed experience. Historic Heritage Tree – A story of the past: Visit an ancient ficus microcarpa tree, recognized as a heritage tree. During the Vietnam War, this tree and the surrounding area served as a strategic hideout for the Viet Cong. Your guide will share fascinating stories about this lesser-known aspect of Mekong Delta history and its role during wartime. End of the tour: We’ll return to Can Tho around 12:00 PM (or 6:00 PM for the afternoon tour). Timing may vary depending on your walking pace and the flow of the day, but our local team — with over 10 years of experience — will make sure your journey is smooth, insightful, and unforgettable.
