Directions to Vietnam Fine Arts Museum

The Vietnam Fine Arts Museum is considered one of the most important museums in Vietnam. Its main purpose is to maintain and promote the treasures of Vietnamese culture and artistic heritages. The museum is divided into two buildings that used to be the French Ministry of Information. Inside you will find the finest display of artwork in the country including wood carvings, ceramic statues, lacquered furniture, silk, oil, and watercolor paintings.

The collections and exhibitions of the museum will give you a peek at the entire history of Vietnamese fine arts. The place presents an incredible combination of a museum and an art gallery. There is a wonderful art collection with contemporary works that gives insight into Vietnam's recent past. You will also leave with a better understanding of the traditional lifestyle of Vietnamese people. The permanent collections in the museum are dedicated to the culture and history of the Vietnam's communities.
