Description
Day 1: Sapa – Black H’Mong Villages – Trekking Trails – Homestay
Meet your local H’Mong guide at Sapa Stone Church. After a short introduction, begin trekking away from the main roads into quiet mountain paths.
Walk along narrow dirt trails, rice terraces, and forest paths connecting small Black H’Mong villages rarely included in standard tours. Along the way, your guide will share stories about family life, marriage, and clan traditions. Learn simple H’Mong words and greetings, practiced while walking and meeting locals.
Enjoy a simple local lunch prepared by villagers using seasonal ingredients. Continue trekking deeper into the valley. Learn about traditional clothing and symbolism, spiritual beliefs and respect for nature, and how children learn language and culture through daily life.
Reach a quiet village where you will stay overnight with a local family. Help prepare dinner, learn basic H’Mong or Red Dao phrases used in the household, and share stories around the fire. Enjoy dinner with the host family and spend the night at a local homestay in the village.
Day 2: Village Life – Red Dao Community – Return to Sapa
Wake up to village life. Observe or join daily activities such as feeding animals, preparing food, or working in the fields. Enjoy breakfast with the host family.
After breakfast, trek toward Red Dao villages, walking along forested paths and hillside trails. Learn about Red Dao clothing and embroidery, herbal medicine traditions, and spiritual beliefs and rituals. Your guide continues teaching basic local language, focusing on daily expressions and cultural meaning.
Enjoy lunch before trekking back toward Sapa. End the trek and return to Sapa town in the afternoon.
