Description

Experience the Wild Heart of Northern Vietnam: Cuc Phuong & The Bear Sanctuary Escape the typical tourist trails for a day of raw nature, ancient history, and heartfelt conservation. This immersive journey takes you deep into Cuc Phuong National Park—Vietnam’s oldest nature reserve—and provides an intimate look at the heroic efforts to protect the region’s wildlife at the Bear Sanctuary Ninh Binh and the Endangered Primate Rescue Center (EPRC). The Itinerary: A Day of Discovery (09:00 AM – 06:00 PM) 09:00 AM | Departure: Your adventure begins with a scenic drive toward the limestone karst mountains of Cuc Phuong. As you enter the park, the air cools and the 'cicada symphony' begins. 10:30 AM | Deep Jungle Trek & The 5 Big Brother Trees, 1000 years old tree. We move into the shadows of the ancient forest. We will trek to visit the 5 Big Brother Trees, a cluster of gargantuan Tetrameles nudiflora. These living fossils, with their massive buttress roots snaking across the jungle floor, have stood guard over the forest for a millennium. 11:30 AM | Son Cung Palace Cave: Hidden within the limestone heart of the park, we explore Son Cung Palace Cave. Marvel at the intricate stalactites and stalagmites that shimmer like jewels in the dark, a testament to the slow, beautiful work of nature over millions of years. 01:00 PM | Traditional Jungle Lunch: Refuel with a hearty, traditional Vietnamese lunch at a local stilt house restaurant within the park, featuring fresh local ingredients and regional specialties. 02:00 PM | The Endangered Primate Rescue Center (EPRC): Our first stop is a world-renowned facility dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and breeding of Vietnam’s rarest primates. You’ll see the stunning Cat Ba Langur, Delacour’s Langur, and various gibbons. Witnessing these agile creatures is a powerful introduction to the park's biodiversity. (Optional for customers) 04:00 PM | The Bear Sanctuary Ninh Binh: We transition from the wild trails to a place of healing. Managed by FOUR PAWS, this world-class sanctuary is home to moon bears and sun bears rescued from the bile farming industry. 05:00 PM | Scenic Return: We begin the relaxing drive back through the rural landscapes of Ninh Binh. 06:00 PM | Arrival: You are dropped back at your accommodation, enriched by a day of meaningful exploration. Why This Experience? Botanical Giants: Walk Among the Ancients Stand at the feet of 1,000-year-old trees whose massive trunks hold up the emerald canopy. As the true lungs of Northern Vietnam, these ancient giants offer a rare chance to disconnect from the modern world and breathe in air filtered by centuries of untouched nature. A Mission of Mercy: Conservation in Action This is no standard zoo. The Primate Rescue Center and Bear Sanctuary put animal welfare first, rehabilitating residents rescued from the illegal wildlife trade. Your visit directly funds their recovery and supports the vital mission to end wildlife exploitation in Vietnam
