Description
Make your own way to My Tho City for an easy start to your Mekong Delta adventure. My Tho is approximately 70 km from Ho Chi Minh City and can be conveniently reached by car in around 1.5 hours, depending on traffic conditions. This option gives you the freedom to arrange your own transportation and travel schedule.
Upon arrival at 8, 30/4 Street, Ward 1, My Tho City, meet your guide and begin your private Mekong Delta adventure. Board your private motorboat and cruise along the Tien River, enjoying views of the four famous islets: Dragon, Unicorn, Tortoise, and Phoenix.
Step ashore on Unicorn Island (Thoi Son Island) and experience the rhythms of local life. Visit a bee farm and enjoy longan flower honey tea while learning about local honey, pollen, and royal jelly. Continue to a traditional puffed-rice workshop before relaxing with fresh tropical fruits and a live performance of Southern Vietnamese folk music (Đờn Ca Tài Tử).
Travel along peaceful village paths by horse-drawn carriage before one of the highlights of the day: a 2-kilometer sampan ride through narrow waterways lined with water coconut palms. This is a wonderful opportunity to slow down and experience the quieter side of the Mekong Delta.
Continue to a traditional coconut candy workshop to discover how one of the region's best-known specialties is made. Then board your private motorboat again and cruise toward Ben Tre, located behind Phoenix Island.
