Description
This is for travelers already in Mai Chau. The road is flat and the pace is slow, so anyone can join, and families with kids and grandparents can ride together. You can stop whenever you need. You can book the bike tour on its own, or add a home-cooked lunch or dinner.
① Bike Ride Through the Villages
You ride along quiet village roads, past rice fields and small streams. Your guide grew up here, leads the way and tells you about the villages as you go. You'll pass people fishing or working in their fields. You can stop whenever you like, for a rest, a photo or a drink of water.
Sometimes grandmothers are dancing sap by the road, a dance with bamboo poles. If you meet them, you're welcome to stop and join in, or just watch. It doesn't happen every time.
② Stilt House and Hand Weaving
You stop at a small stilt house, where a grandmother weaves cloth by hand, the way she has for many years. It's her home, not a shop. You can sit with her, watch her work, and ask questions through your guide. You'll also hear about the White Thai, an ethnic group of northwest Vietnam, and daily life in the village.
③ Lunch or Dinner at a Homestay (optional )
If you add a meal, you eat home-cooked food at a homestay. Most of it comes from the family's garden, so it changes with the season. If the family is free that day, you eat together at their table. If not, you eat with your guide.
WHICH OPTION SHOULD YOU CHOOSE?
Bike Tour Only is the shortest, so it's the easiest choice with small kids. With lunch, you ride in the morning and eat afterward. With dinner, you ride in the afternoon. Both meals are at a homestay, sitting at a table.
WHO IS THIS TOUR FOR?

If your child is under 8, or can't ride far on their own, tell us after booking and we'll plan around it. If anyone in your group has limited mobility, tell us too. Just send us a message after booking and we'll talk it through together.
