Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is a special place that is dedicated to house Ho Chi Minh's preserved body. This is also a place where visitors, especially Vietnamese, can express their admiration and gratitude towards the national father of Vietnam. It is popularly known among the Vietnamese people as Uncle's Mausoleum, which is the way all Vietnamese address him. Many Vietnamese people of older generations from all over the country wish to visit this place as Ho Chi Minh holds a very special place in their hearts.
Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum was built over the course of 2 years from 1973 to 1975. Materials used to construct this building were contributed from regions all over the country. Even the garden surrounding in the building has a collection of plants and bonsais contributed from all regions in Vietnam.
Remember to properly dress (no short skirts or tank tops) when visiting the Mausoleum as there are strict behavioral rules (no cameras, no hats and no noise). Please respect this site as much as the locals do!
