Make the most of your day in port with a private shore excursion from Phu My to Ho Chi Minh City. Your driver meets you at the port with a name sign, your English-speaking guide joins you in the city, and all entrance fees, lunch and bottled water are included. ITINERARY
08:00-08:30 - Meet your driver at Phu My Port (Vung Tau)
Your private driver waits outside the port for the 75 km transfer to Ho Chi Minh City. Please note this transfer is driver-only; your guide joins you in the city.
09:30 - Meet your guide in Ho Chi Minh City
Formerly named Saigon, Vietnam's largest city mixes French colonial architecture, Chinese influences, numerous temples and a fast-paced modern spirit. Your guide is with you for the rest of the day.
War Remnants Museum (30 minutes)
Opened to the public in 1975 and once known as the Museum of American War Crimes, it documents the Vietnam War through graphic photographs and American military equipment.
Thien Hau Temple (30 minutes)
One of the most important pagodas in the city, richly decorated and dedicated to Thien Hau, Goddess of the Sea and patron of sailors.
Chinatown (60 minutes)
Settled in the late 18th century, this labyrinth of restaurants, temples and stores centers on Binh Tay Market, Chinatown's main wholesale marketplace. Experience an authentic part of the city's daily business.
12:30-13:30 - Lunch
An included Vietnamese lunch at a local restaurant.
Independence Palace (45 minutes)
Also known as the Reunification Palace, former residence of the President of the Republic of Vietnam. On 30 April 1975, a North Vietnamese soldier entered the building with a red flag and the world knew the war was ending.
Central Post Office (20 minutes)
A beautifully preserved landmark of French colonial times and perhaps the grandest post office in Southeast Asia, right next to Notre-Dame Cathedral.
14:30-15:00 - Optional shopping
Ben Thanh Market or Saigon Square, on request.
15:00 - Return transfer
Say goodbye to your guide in Ho Chi Minh City; your driver transfers you back to the port (driver-only, no guide).
16:30 - Arrive at Phu My Port. End of services.

Seaport pickup instructions
Phu My has several terminals (SSIT, SP-PSA, CMIT and others). Please confirm with your cruise staff which seaport is your meeting point.
Vehicles are not allowed inside the terminals. After customs, leave through the MAIN EXIT GATE and walk or take the free shuttle bus to the meeting point (500-900 m). The assistance booth can help.
Your assigned driver will be waiting outside with a name sign. The driver handles the port pickup and drop-off on his own; your English-speaking guide meets you in Ho Chi Minh City.
