Description

'Quận Tư' isn't a place I discovered as a tour guide. It's the place that raised me.

My family has called Saigon home for five generations. I was born and raised in District 4, known to locals as Quận Tư, where the narrow alleys, busy streets, and people around me shaped the way I see life.

I founded OG Saigon because I wanted to share more than just places to visit. I wanted travelers to understand the city through the eyes of someone who actually grew up here.

Our walk begins around Bến Nhà Rồng and the historic riverfront, exploring the area around Khánh Hội Bridge and Mống Bridge before heading into the neighborhood streets and alleys of Xóm Chiếu market.

Along the way, we'll explore how District 4 developed its own character, how the neighborhood has changed over the years, and how old Saigon still lives on in everyday routines.

I'll share stories from growing up in Quận Tư: the neighborhood's rougher reputation, the values I learned at home, the people I met, and the little things that taught me how this city works.

We'll talk about local history, family, work, street culture, and the relationships that hold a Saigon neighborhood together. You'll discover details that are easy to walk past but mean something to the people who live here.

And of course, we'll stop for a Vietnamese coffee at a little café tucked inside a local hẻm or alley. It's a chance to sit down, take in the neighborhood atmosphere, and ask whatever you're curious about.

This isn't a history lecture or a checklist of famous attractions. It's a walk through a real neighborhood, with real stories and plenty of conversation.

By the end, I hope you'll understand not just what Saigon looks like, but a little more about how it feels to grow up and live here.
