Description
Escape the busy streets of Ho Chi Minh City and explore the natural beauty of Can Gio, a UNESCO-listed mangrove biosphere reserve located about 60 km from the city center.
Your journey begins with morning pickup from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City between 7:20–7:45 AM. Travel in an air-conditioned vehicle to Can Gio, known for its vast mangrove forests, wildlife, and peaceful coastal scenery.
The first stop is Monkey Island (Dao Khi Can Gio), home to hundreds of freely roaming long-tailed macaques. Walk through the forest area, observe the monkeys in their natural habitat, and take photos during your visit.
Continue with a speedboat ride through the mangrove canals to explore the surrounding ecosystem and learn more about the local environment and history of the area from your guide.
You will also visit the Can Gio Mangrove Forest area, where you can experience the unique landscape of southern Vietnam’s coastal wetlands and observe local wildlife and nature.
After the tour, relax on the drive back to Ho Chi Minh City, with hotel drop-off in the late afternoon.
Warning: During the tour, please be careful with your hats and glasses, as monkeys may snatch them. We recommend keeping them securely stored when not in use.
