Description

Most Ha Long Bay day tours follow the same crowded route on large cruise ships, with little flexibility and no real connection to local life. Our tour is built differently — smaller groups, a route that includes Lan Ha Bay's quieter lagoons, a hands-on cooking moment at sunset, and pickup options that work whether you're staying in Cat Ba or coming straight from Hanoi. Why Choose Us Hanoi-to-bay convenience — direct hotel pickup in Hanoi Old Quarter on weekdays; on weekends, pickup is from our bus office at 214 Tran Quang Khai Street. Hands-on, not just sightseeing — you don't just watch the sunset, you make fresh spring rolls on board while it happens, guided by our local crew. Conservation-area kayaking — the lagoon you kayak through is a protected conservation zone in Lan Ha Bay, not just a random stop. Earlier, less rushed finish — back at the harbor by 16:15, giving you time to catch a bus or flight without a late scramble. 05:30 — Pick-up from your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter (weekdays), or from our bus office at 214 Tran Quang Khai Street (weekends), then transfer to Ben Beo Pier (for guests booking the Hanoi option with us) 08:30 — For guests staying in Cat Ba, our bus will pick you up from your hotel in Cat Ba Town or our office at No. 168, 1/4 Street, and head to Ben Beo Pier — approximately a 10-minute journey. At Ben Beo Pier, our tour guide will provide tickets for the Cat Ba Archipelago bay route, already included in the tour price. 09:00 — Board the boat to explore Lan Ha Bay. The boat cruises around the bay, offering spectacular views of limestone towers rising from the sea, passing Cai Beo Fishing Village — one of the largest and most traditional floating villages in Northern Vietnam — and sailing on past thousands of uniquely shaped karst formations (some resembling chopsticks, others seals). 10:30 — Discover Lan Ha Bay's lagoon area by kayak, through one of the most stunning lagoons in the bay and a designated conservation area. (Exact location may vary depending on the tides.) 12:30 — The boat anchors at Ong Cam Islet for a traditional lunch. A freshly prepared Vietnamese-style meal is served on board by the local crew (vegetarian options available), enjoyed while cruising through the magnificent scenery of Ha Long Bay's rock formations. 13:30 — The boat continues on to the Ba Trai Dao area. 14:30 — Swim and jump off the boat at Ba Trai Dao Beach, a natural, quiet, and less-touristy spot. Discover the temple beach, lagoons, and arches. 15:15 — Join in making fresh spring rolls while enjoying the sunset over Lan Ha Bay on the way back to the harbor. 16:15 — Board the bus back to your hotel in Cat Ba Town. Alternatively, we can arrange the bus back to Hanoi (drop-off at the bus office at 214 Tran Quang Khai Street, Friday–Sunday).
