Built in December, 2008, La Badiane - the star anise spice in French - has been known as one of the best fusion and international gastronomy restaurants in Vietnam. This restaurant is established by three close friends: Minh Spielmann, Benjamin Rascalou and Anthony Balenci.
La Badiane is a beautiful colonial building renovated with elegant white walls combined with selected vivid colors and an open-sky corridor. The place gets even more charming with green leaf plants and many artistic black and white photographs of Vietnamese daily life. These pictures have been taken by one of the restaurant owners, Minh Spielman, who is a keen traveler and explorer.
The restaurant offers the airy and calm patio surrounded by artistic photographs and a more intimate setting of three air-conditioned rooms located between the ground and the first floor with warm colors. Thanks to its cozy and romantic look and feel inside, many customers have chosen this restaurant for their special occasions such as wedding anniversaries, birthdays and even marriage proposals.
