At Thanh Ha, pottery is more than just an industry - it’s a cherished tradition that has been kept alive for more than five centuries. Unlike many pottery studios that use molds, the artisans here shape each piece by hand and foot pedal without using molds, giving every item a distinctive and unique touch. The villagers are very kind and friendly so they love to share their heritage with the guests. You can also try new shapes and designs for fun. *** What will we do? - Be welcomed in the home of a local craftsman - Have a look the local pottery products - Join in pottery-making class to make your own pottery product. You will learn how to make pottery with instructor of local craftsman: She will show the way how to choose clay, choose a pottery-making technique, making the pottery, dry, paint, and decorate your Pottery. The duration is around 20 minutes. - Visit The Xuan My Communal House and Nam Dieu Temple of the pottery founders (by yourself) - Go around and explore the beauty and enjoy peace & tranquility of traditional crafts (by yourself) * Note: The duration of pottery-making class is often around 20 mins.
