Description
Begin your day with a visit to a local morning market. Choose from lively traditional markets such as Chợ Tân An. Explore Tan Lập Floating Village, Long An’s most famous natural attraction. Walk the 5km melaleuca forest pathways, explore the floating walkways, climb the observation tower for panoramic forest views, and take a boat ride through the green waterways (optional). Watch for birds, dragonflies, and aquatic plants in this calm, green, humid, and magical forest environment. The rowed boat trip is the most relaxing and atmospheric way to discover Tân Lập. A local guide gently paddles the small wooden boat along quiet canals covered by tall melaleuca trees. The machine boat trip offers a more adventurous way to explore the wider wetlands of Tân Lập. The motorboat travels faster and covers longer distances, allowing you to see more of the area’s open waterways and vast melaleuca forest. Stop for a local lunch at a nearby restaurant, serving rustic Mekong dishes like grilled snakehead fish, fried elephant ear fish, sour soup with river fish, and fresh vegetables and herbs. If you prefer a lighter meal, choose bánh xèo or noodle soup. After lunch, explore the area around Tan Lập. Walk small village paths near the canals, visit seasonal lotus farms (best May–September), sit by the water and relax, and take photos of traditional wooden bridges.Includes
