Description

Begin your day with a pickup from your hotel in Mu Cang Chai town. After a short transfer, start your adventure in Mông Ngua Village, a peaceful Hmong community nestled among rolling hills and terraced rice fields. Learn about the local lifestyle, traditional wooden houses, and the ancient techniques used for rice cultivation on the steep mountain slopes. Continue your journey through winding mountain trails surrounded by vibrant green terraces and small streams. Reach the tranquil Rừng Trúc (Bamboo Forest) — a beautiful area where sunlight filters through tall bamboo groves, creating a serene and almost mystical atmosphere. Take your time to rest, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and enjoy panoramic views of the Mu Cang Chai valley below. Around midday, enjoy a local lunch at a family house, freshly prepared from local ingredients. This is a great chance to connect with local people and experience authentic Northern Vietnamese hospitality. In the afternoon, continue trekking toward Nhà Ngô (Corn House) — a unique Hmong home beautifully decorated with dried corn hanging from its wooden walls, symbolizing prosperity and harvest. Here, join a traditional Hmong batik experience, using beeswax to create your own handmade fabric artwork under the guidance of local artisans. It’s a peaceful and creative moment to connect with Hmong culture before continuing your walk through the surrounding rice terraces. The trek covers approximately 15 kilometers and is suitable for travelers with a moderate fitness level. The route combines gentle slopes, mountain paths, and rural trails, making it an ideal way to experience the peaceful rhythm of Mu Cang Chai’s countryside. At the end of the day, be transferred back to your hotel in Mu Cang Chai town, filled with unforgettable memories and incredible photos of one of Vietnam’s most beautiful rice terraces.
