Description

DAY 1: HANOI - MAI HICH - PU LUONG 08:00: Depart for Mai Hich via a charming road through beautiful landscapes of green rice fields, sugar cane fields, and ethnic villages. Stop at Thung Khe Pass for a panoramic view of the magnificent Mai Chau Valley. Arrival in Mai Hich, lunch. Then continue your journey with an exploration of Mai Hich by bike (optional) or a walk to discover daily life, meet and chat with local people. Transfer to Puluong. On the way, visit a bamboo chopstick factory. DAY 2: PU LUONG - NINH BINHBreakfast. Hike through the villages. Discover beautiful landscapes of terraced rice fields, traditional stilt houses, and scenes of local life along the way, meet and chat with local residents. These beautiful, colorful encounters in this map-postcard landscape will make this hike unforgettable. Lunch. Transfer to Ninh Binh. DAY 3: NINH BINH - PHU HAU - GIAO PHUC Breakfast. You will board a small rowing boat to explore the caves of Tam Coc. Enjoy the magical atmosphere amid the limestone peaks and sugar loaf mountains, a natural landscape of karst mountains overlooking an exceptional aquatic landscape. Departure for Khanh Thien. Upon arrival in the village of Phu Hau, meet with local hosts. Bike ride to discover the typical countryside. Visit a snail and fish farm... A stop is planned at the village market. Return to the hosts' home for an introduction to making 'banh chung,' the traditional Vietnamese New Year cake. The chef will guide you through each step: cutting the leaves, tying the slats, making the cake, etc. Then you will taste the cakes you have made yourself. Next, your hosts will show you how to make mats, weave carts, and more. DAY 4: GIAO PHUC - XUAN THUY - HANOI Breakfast. Early morning bike ride to watch the sunrise and visit the local fish market. Bike ride to discover the traditional lifestyle and homes of farmers and fishermen. Transfer to Xuan Thuy Ramsar, located on an estuary, the first site in Southeast Asia to be classified as a Ramsar site. Boat trip through mangrove forests before enjoying a delicious seafood BBQ lunch in a floating hut in the heart of the shellfish and oyster farming areas. Lunch. Visit the salt marshes where you will learn about the stages of salt production. Meet fishermen and discover their traditional local net fishing techniques. Return to Hanoi.
