Description

We design this 3-day journey for those who want more than just the usual loop. With a small group of max 8 and a dedicated local guide, go deeper into Ha Giang’s culture - visit quiet villages, meet local H'mong families, and feel the land. Day 0: We arrange night bus directly from Hanoi’s Old Quarter: VIP cabin or VIP limousine. For those coming from Cat Ba, Ha Long, or Ninh Binh: we arrange smooth connections from those locations ($10 additional fee). You will be in Ha Giang around 3AM. Day 1: After a cozy local breakfast with warm Banh Cuon (steamed rice rolls), your journey begins through the winding mountain roads of Ha Giang. - First, you’ll stop at Quan Ba Heaven Gate and the famous Twin Mountains quietly rest between layers of cloud and forest. Then, a quick pause at the Lonely Tree and Can Ty Slope - two seemingly simple landmarks that hold a special place in the hearts of locals. You'll have lunch in Yen Minh - In the afternoon, you’ll venture to Sao Ha Village (high valley village), one of Ha Giang’s best-kept secrets: no noise, no rush, no electricity, no signal, hidden deep in the mountains. The trail leads through an ancient forest and a quiet shrine to forest spirits. - Drive along Tham Ma Pass with scenic view before arriving Vu Family Mansion. Though over 100 years old, it remains almost perfectly preserved, from old wooden beams to the way rooms are arranged. - Arrive in Dong Van and check in to your private room at Serenity Bungalow. Day 2: - After breakfast, you conquer the legendary Ma Pi Leng pass, sweeping views of limestone mountain embracing the emeral water. Then take a boat trip along Nho Que River cruising through Tu San Canyon. - Having lunch in Dong Van, then we make a special stop at Deo Gio - a quiet local-favorite café tucked along the mountain ridge with panoramic views, perfect for slowing down with a warm drink. - Thien Huong Ancient Village: a peaceful riverside village that’s over 200 years old and home to just 37 Tay families. The homes here still keep their traditional charm, with yin-yang tiled roofs and earth-packed walls that have lasted through generations. - Lung Cu Tower & Lo Lo Chai Village: voted one of the most charming villages to visit in 2025, where earthen homes, traditional crafts, and vibrant Lo Lo culture come together. Day 3: - Checkout and enjoy breakfast. If it’s Sunday, start the day with a visit to a local ethnic market - a colorful, lively gathering of H’mong, Tay, Lo Lo and other ethnic groups. - Head to Meo Vac and stop at M-shaped Curve: nine dramatic bends carved into the mountainside like a ribbon. - Lung Tam Linen Village: one of the few places still preserving the ancient H’mong Xanh tradition of handweaving linen, using beeswax and natural dyes. The trip ends around 15:30 in Ha Giang City. You’ll have time to relax before the bus picks you up at our hostel around 19:00 for the journey back to Hanoi.
