Around 7:40am, you'll be picked up from your central hotel in Ho Chi Minh City (or meeting point) and head to the Mekong Delta. Drive past lush rice fields before arriving in My Tho. Your first stop is Vinh Trang Pagoda, known for its peaceful setting and unique blend of Vietnamese, Khmer, and Chinese architecture. Continue to the pier for a boat cruise along the Mekong River, passing Tortoise Islet and the Dragon, Phoenix, and Unicorn islets. Enjoy the quiet canals, fruit orchards, and riverside villages, followed by a sampan ride under coconut-lined waterways. Stop at Unicorn Islet to explore on foot, taste fresh fruits, honey tea, and honey wine, and enjoy traditional folk music. A local lunch is served afterward (vegan options available). Cruise onward to Ben Tre, the land of coconuts, to visit a coconut workshop and see how coconut candy and rice paper are made. Relax in a hammock or take a short bike ride around the village.
