Under their guidance, you will personally try these crafts yourself, making this one of the most exciting and meaningful experiences. In addition, you'll have the chance to integrate into the local life, see the distinctive traditional stilt houses, and even join in their everyday work. PHJA THAP INCENSE VILLAGE: located in Quang Uyen commune, has a history spanning over 100 years. The incense is made entirely from natural ingredients sourced from the limestone mountainous region, standing as a crystallized product of the meticulousness and ingenuity of the local people. DIA TREN PAPER FACTORY VILLAGE: Originating from natural materials (May Sla tree bark), and shaped by the ingenious hands of the local people, these traditional paper sheets have become the inspiration for numerous sophisticated handicraft products such as handheld fans, notebooks, drawing paper, votive paper, and more. PAC RANG FORGING VILLAGE: The traditional forging village is famous for its agricultural tools and especially its sharp knives and machetes. The village has a forging history spanning about 1,000 years and is dubbed the largest 'Handicraft Forging Workshop' in the Northern region. LUNG RI VILLAGE: This is a traditional craft village with a history spanning hundreds of years, famous for making handcrafted terracotta roof tiles. These tiles are known for their high quality and beautiful coloring, and are used to roof houses, lending them a sense of ancient architecture. The tile-making process is entirely manual, encompassing stages such as selecting the clay, aging the clay, kneading the clay, filtering out impurities, shaping, sun-drying, and firing. 11:30AM: Having lunch with the locals (optional) 12:00PM: Head back to Cao Bang city FOR THE AFTERNOON OPTION: the schedule will start at 1:00 PM and finish at 5:00 PM (LUNCH IS NOT INCLUDED)
