Description
Discover Hue’s UNESCO-listed Imperial City on a guided day trip from Da Nang. Admire the Khai Dinh Tomb, the Thien Mu Pagoda, and the Hue Citadel. Relish lunch at a local restaurant, and enjoy convenient hotel pickup and drop-off.
After pickup at your hotel in Da Nang, drive toward Hue. On the way, stop at Lap An Lagoon, where local fishermen farm oysters. Take a break in the cafeteria and enjoy a coffee (at your own expense) overlooking the lagoon.
Continue to Hue and make your first stop in the city at the Khai Dinh Tomb, the elaborate tomb of the 12th-century emperor from the Nguyen dynasty. Marvel at the mixture of Hinduism, Buddhism, and Christianity with French and Vietnamese architecture, and learn about Nguyen beliefs.
Next, stop at a restaurant for a lunch break. After lunch, move on the Thien Mu Pagoda, a 17th-centrury working Buddhist monastery considered by many to be the unofficial symbol of the city.
From Thein Mu Pagoda, move on to the Hue Citadel and learn about the capital city of the Nguyen Dynasty from your guide. Get some free time to buy souvenirs (not included), then return to Da Nang for drop-off at your hotel.
