Description
Discover a more simple way of life and see the villages of the Mekong Delta on a 2-day cruise. Depart from Saigon and sail to the island of Phu Quoc, or take the journey in the opposite direction. Day 1: Saigon – Mekong Delta (L, D) Benefit from pick-up at your hotel, and then drive to Cai Be to board a wooden boat. Get a welcome drink on arrival and check the on-board facilities and your cabin. Enjoy lunch as you set sail. Watch the stunning scenery and everyday activities of the locals, and go on land to stroll through the village and fruit orchards. Savor the local produce before going back to the boat to relax on deck as the sun sets. Drop anchor to enjoy a delicious on-board dinner. Day 2: (B, L) Wake to the sounds of the river, and set off on a sunrise cruise. Board a sampan after breakfast and travel to the floating market of Cai Rang. Marvel at the abundance of exotic fruit and vegetables, and purchase local handicrafts. Chat with the merchants on their boats, and then make your way to Rach Gia to catch the ferry to Phu Quoc.Includes
