Description
Experience everyday life in rural Vietnam by bus and boat on a day trip to the My Son Sanctuary and along the Thu Bon River. Depart Hoi An via the Cua Dai Bridge and get spectacular views of the Hoi An river system and Cham Islands as you depart. Arrive at a fishing village in time to see the market traders selling their evening catch. Continue into the 'Valley of Kings' to discover the former 4th to 15th-century capital of the Champa Kingdom. Watch a traditional dance performance before making your way along a jungle trail. Then, explore the Cham ruins and learn the history of the sanctuary where the Cham monarchs were buried. Head back towards Hoi An for your 2-hour boat cruise on the Thu Bon River. Climb aboard at the Nguyen Hoang boat dock and sail past local villages such as the fishing village of Duy Hai and the carpentry village of Kim Bong. Enjoy a light noodle lunch of pork or seafood on board the boat as you cruise back to the Nguyen Hoang boat dock in the Old Town.Includes
