The tour begins with a meet and greet with the local guide, before hopping on your bike and heading to Ho Chi Min city's bustling Chinatown area. Along the way you will stop off at the Thien Hau temple, which was built in the early 19th century and is dedicated to Thien Hau, the goddess of seafarers. You will then delve deeper into Chinatown visiting the amazing Cholon and Binh Tay Market for an insight into where locals shop. Stop at a local cafe for a coffee to watch the hectic pace of life pass by in Ho Chi Minh City. Following the market visit, you will then have a traditional local Vietnamese lunch, featuring 'Pho' or other well-known Vietnamese cuisine. After lunch, you will take a ride to visit more of the city's most important landmarks, including the War Remnants Museum, opened in September 1975 and displaying old military equipment and other related items from the Vietnam War, and the Reunification Palace, formerly known as the Presidential Palace, and the sight of South Vietnam's surrender in April 1975. You will then visit the Notre Dame Cathedral, the General Post office, and the Opera house, all beautiful examples of architecture from the French colonial period. Finally, explore downtown Saigon, and get a local's point of view on this thriving and pulsating city.
