Description
Starting at 7:00AM, your guide and car will pick you up from your hotel in Hoi An. From there you'll travel for 140 kilometers to Hue. On the way you'll stop at the spectacular Hai Van Mountain Pass, and will also travel through scenic fishing villages. Upon your arrival in Hue, visit the Tomb of Tu Duc. This is a vast, sprawling complex set around a lake, with wooden pavilions, tombs, and temples, dedicated to wives and favored courtesans. The courtesans’ quarters are in ruins, with only outlines and crumbling walls left amid waves of overgrown grass and silence. Other areas on the other hand are stunningly well-preserved. Following that, visit the Thuy Xuan Village, where locals make a living by crafting the famous Hue conical, poetry hats, and colorful incense. After enjoying lunch at a local restaurant, you'll board a wooden boat for a trip down the perfume river to the Thien Mu Pagoda, a serene Buddhist site overlooking the river. Your guide will then take you to explore the Tomb of Khai Dinh, before you encounter the impressive citadel. Later, visit the Flag Tower, Noon Gate, Nine Dynastic Urns, and the Nine Holy Cannons, before finally stopping off at the Thai Hoa Palace. At 3:30PM you'll drive back to Hoi An, enjoying the landscapes along the way before you arrive back at your hotel at approximately 5:00PM.Includes
