At 7:30 a.m., our friendly tour guides will welcome you at your conveniently situated hotel in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, to begin an exciting day excursion to Can Gio, often known as Monkey Island. When we arrive, our first stop is the beautiful mangrove forest, where we'll see over 1,000 joyful monkeys. Prepare for a lovely encounter as these curious critters may crawl atop your shoulders, providing amazing photo possibilities. Feel free to feed them and enjoy their companionship in their natural setting. After the monkey experience, a short walk takes us to the crocodile conservation area. Local efforts have conserved a handful of large crocodiles from the American War era. For those who want thrills, you might try your hand at 'Crocodile fishing,' an optional sport that offers excitement and a unique perspective on local life. After that, we'll board a fast motorboat to reach the 'Sac' guerilla camp, which is located deep in the bush. This historically significant monument provides insights into Vietnam's wartime past, offering a dramatic perspective on the struggles experienced by both troops and civilians. Refuel with a great lunch at a local restaurant, where you can enjoy traditional Vietnamese cuisine in a delightful environment. After lunch, immerse yourself in the vivid ambiance of a busy fish market. You'll discover fresh catches including octopus, lobster, and ray, as well as dried seafood specialties. Can Gio Resort, located next to the market, allows you to relax with a refreshing swim or leisurely explore the Nearby beach. As the day comes to a close, we will leave Can Gio and return to Ho Chi Minh City, reaching about 5:30 PM. Reflect on your day's excursions as you return, armed with fresh knowledge of the region's animals, history, and gastronomic pleasures.
