You’ll depart Hanoi in the early morning for the 10-kilometer northeasterly drive to Bat Trang ceramic village on this 5-hour excursion. Bat Trang is a 500-year-old community located on the left bank of the Red River. The village is known for producing the best pottery in Vietnam and the items produced here are shipped all over the world. Begin your tour with a visit to the Bat Trang pagoda, where locals worship the ancient artists who founded the village. Take a walk to a workshop where you’ll see how the ceramic products are made, from start to finish. As you explore the village further you’ll stop to learn how to throw a pot on a potter’s wheel. Take home your new creation as a souvenir of your time in Bat Trang.
